Dr. Ouyang brings extensive experience in teaching various finance topics to both undergraduate and graduate business students at Eberhardt School of Business. Her teaching approach emphasizes interactive learning and practical application of concepts, with a focus on developing students' quantitative analysis skills using tools like Excel, WRDS, and the Bloomberg Terminal.
 
Dr. Ouyang's research interests span corporate finance, investments, and financial accounting. Her research has appeared in respected journals including Accounting and Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and International Review of Financial Analysis. She is a two-time winner of the Fred Gellert Outstanding Research Award from Eberhardt and has been honored with the Best Paper awards recognized by the Western Decision Science Institute (2024, Environmental Issues track) and the Academy of Finance (2022, Corporate Finance track).
 
Beyond her teaching and research, Dr. Ouyang is actively engaged in professional service. Notably, she has co-edited a special issue of the Chinese Economy journal and is the Program Chair & President-elect of the Academy of Finance.
 
Dr. Ouyang holds a PhD in Finance from Drexel University and is a CFA Level III candidate.
